A pullover of cashmere can be made of 2-ply, 4-ply, 6-ply and 12-ply yarn, determining its thickness and weight. The greater the number of plies in the yarn, the more the softness of the quality fabric will be enhanced: for example, a 2-ply pullover will be for summer or mid-season while a 6 or 12-ply pullover will be used in the colder seasons of the year.
